Small office IT, done the way a data center is run
IronLine Digital Systems LLC is based in Durham, NC and run by Robert Riddle.
IronLine is for the offices that fall between the cracks: too small for a managed IT firm's minimum contract, too important to keep running on a router someone set up years ago and nobody can log into. Those offices still need a network that works, and someone who documents how it is built.
Robert has spent 15 years in IT: hands-on work in enterprise data centers, leading infrastructure projects, data analytics for infrastructure teams, and building software for local businesses. He has racked and upgraded routers, switches, servers and storage on live floors, drawn the diagrams a whole data center was built from, and run the migrations and weekend cutovers where nothing is allowed to go wrong. That is enterprise experience, now put to work for small offices.
Before IT, he spent seven years as a commercial electrician. IronLine does not do electrical work, but it does mean knowing what a clean, safe install looks like.
He is working toward the Cisco CCNA, with the exam scheduled for January 2027.
